Over the span of twenty years, Melissa Rancourt has worked to improve operational efficiency, create business and communication strategies and reach successful results in industries from manufacturing to healthcare to associations to SMEs. In the past three years, she has created three companies headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
Her project management firm, operating mainly in Europe, helps organisations expand internationally and implement new business development opportunities. Melissa is also the Chairman and Founder for greenlight for girls, a global NGO with activities in Europe, US, Brazil, India and Africa to encourage girls to pursue and study science (STEM) subjects and careers. Her third and newest business venture brings her into the field of well-being as she has recently purchased Serendip Spa and its associated brands headquartered in the heart of the shopping district in Brussels, Avenue Louise.
Melissa is a Public Speaker for TedX, United Nations, Keynote addresses, Award and Conference Moderation and Commencement speeches throughout Europe, US, Brazil and the UAE. In addition, she has appeared on US TV show Living Abroad, Bloomberg, Euronews and other media.
As a University Lecturer, she teaches a wide repertoire of courses including Operations Management, Negotiations, Project Management, International Strategies, Communication, E-commerce, International Marketing, Data-Driven Decision Making and Business Statistics. Her educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College in the Boston area as well as Creative Writing in Oxford University.
