The LIFE project, on which the transfer was based, included an innovative toolkit for vocational teachers and trainers to embed life skills into their teaching. The LIFE products and processes were transferred to Denmark, Romania and Portugal by the UK and Spanish partners. The LIFE products were updated and innovative new materials developed to place greater focus on entrepreneurship and employability. Particular emphasis was placed on tackling the issue of dropouts and helping disadvantaged young people to re-engage in learning and develop their employability and entrepreneurship skills in specific vocational areas.The following activities have been achieved: WP1 project management to meet objectives on time; WP2 Quality management plan and 3 evaluation reports; WP3 needs analysis country and synthesis report translated into partner languages; WP4 Adapted Train the Trainer Pack including user guide translated into partner languages, new activities and examples added to online pack after pilot; WP5 pilot completed in all partner countries, country reports and synthesis report translated into partner languages; WP6 Dissemination strategy and country plans, LIFE 3 leaflets in all partner languages and website, wide range of dissemination activities in all partner countries and across Europe; WP7 sustainability strategy, country and synthesis reports.

- The ‘key competences in life skills’ project, or LIFE for short, was a collaborative partnership between ten training institutions and public/private agencies drawn from six countries across Europe.
Aim
The project aimed to develop a train the trainer programme to provide subject orientated vocational teachers with the necessary skills to integrate key skills for life competences into their vocational areas. This transfer of innovation project built on the European Civil Society Platform on lifelong learning’s recommendations.
Target Groups
The train the trainer programme developed within this pilot initiative was aimed at the following groups
Vocational teachers and trainers
Diverse learner groups including 16-19 year olds at initial vocational level, mature students, the unemployed, employees and employers
