Description

Within the Italymobility groups of youngsters with fewer opportunities (disabilities, social exclusion) go abroad in order to complete internships in various companies in Tuscany. The main goal is enhance the self esteem, the cultural understanding and the social competences of the students – offering them support and guidance when necessary but encourage them to find their own way towards the success. The mobility for these groups has to be tailor-made for their special needs and expectations, and include close and supportive tutoring during the entire stay. The workplacements have to be selected in a proper way and they have to be able to manage them. Regular meetings and workshops have to be organised in order to evaulate their on-going experience.

Useful ideas

The proect should promote mobility as a tool of empowerment for the yougsters who cope with exclusion (involved organisations should share guidelines, materials and training ideas for disadvantaged groups of different kind)

A group of stakeholders from various EU countries directly involved in work with youngsters with fewer opportunities

The idea is to create a kit with best-practices related to this kind of mobility – clear guidelines, proven solutions

Solutions

The project will be divided into tasks to be done by each partner, will be monitored by the coordinator and payments will be effected as agreed at the beginning of the project and foreseen by the contract with the National Agency.

The elaborated materials will be easy to implement by partners, even belonging to different contexts – universal models will be elaborated in order to cover a wide range of problems

Systems for quality monitoring

A regular feedback from partners will be requested on various aspects (communication, understanding of the tasks, self assessment of quality, etc.). All this will generate reports on quality and will help the coordinator better understand the situation. Activity reports and financial reports will also help the monitoring.
